Babymoon - Montego Bay, Jamaica

ITS A….. Just kidding, we are waiting to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl until he/she is born!

Babymoons? What even are those? Do people actually go on one?

I decided to see what all the hype was about with this new trend, babymoons. Essentially, it is a vacation right before the baby is born to celebrate you as a couple, and relax a bit before your world becomes a bit more chaotic is a newborn around.

I went right at 6 months pregnant, and I had an absolute blast.

We stayed at one of our ALL - TIME favorite properties, Sandals Montego Bay. It is an adult-only resort, located next to the airport. This allows us to enjoy every minute from flight to flight with little time lost for transfers. We have been to this property over 10 times and have built numerous relationships with staff that have grown into family over the years.

If you are looking for excursions or time off the resort property, Scotchies is an incredible local restaurant with some of the best Jamaican food ever.

Here is pictured some of those staff members that have become like family to us!

Now let me tell you, this baby and I LOVED TO EAT! We ate 3 meals and countless snack every day! (I mean who wouldn’t want to eat all the food and it not affect your figure?")

I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone who loves to travel and is looking to grow their family. My recommendations for adults-only babymoons are Sandals Resorts and the family-friendly option of Beaches Resorts.
